Author Biographies

Fausto Javier Sainz de Salces, SAPALA Consulting Ltd.

Doctor en Ciencias de la Computación por la Universidad John Moores de Liverpool, licenciado en Psicología por la Universidad del País Vasco y Máster en Human Centred Computer Systems por la Universidad de Sussex. Posee una amplia experiencia en enseñanza e investigación en el área de la interacción persona-ordenador desde el año 2000.

Fue profesor en la Interacción Persona-Ordenador a nivel de pregrado y postgrado durante su periodo como investigador en Reino Unido y profesor en la Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. Trabajó en el departamento de I+D en Technosite, empresa dedicada a la accesibilidad. Sus intereses de investigación están relacionados con la experiencia del usuario, la accesibilidad, la computación ubicua, la inteligencia ambiental y los aspectos éticos del desarrollo tecnológico.

Javier Bustamante Donas, Universidad Complutense de Madrid

Doctor en Filosofía y Ciencias de la Educación por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Máster en Science and Technology Studies por el Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute de Nueva York y Máster en informática por la Univesidad Pontificia de Salamanca. Acreditado como catedrático, es profesor titular de Filosofía Moral en la Universidad Complutense de Madrid, profesor visitante del departamento de Política Científica y Tecnológica de la Universidad Estatal de São Paulo en Campinas (Unicamp) y director del Centro Instituto Iberoamericano de Ciencia, Tecnología y Sociedad (Cictes). Ha dirigido varios proyectos de la Agencia Española de Cooperación Internacional y del Plan Nacional de Investigación y ha sido becario Fulbright del gobierno brasileño y del Programa de Perfeccionamiento de Doctores y Tecnólogos en el Extranjero. Con su libro Sociedad informatizada, ¿Sociedad Deshumanizada? ganó en 1994 el Premio Internacional Fundesco. También es poseedor del Founders’ Award of Excellence de Rensselaer y ha publicado cerca de un centenar de trabajos en el área de cibercultura, ética de la tecnología, filosofía oriental y áreas afines.
